PATIENT:
61 year old Caucasian male. Employed as a security
guard.
DIAGNOSIS:
Ulceration, medial aspect 1st metatarsal joint, right
foot.
MEDICAL HISTORY:
Controlled diabetic presenting with pain and
inflammation to 1st metatarsal joint, right
foot, secondary to mechanical shoe irritation.
Sudden onset with no previous treatment.
TREATMENT:
Sharp debridement of ulcer to tolerance initially.
Daily dressing changes with AmeriGel® Wound Dressing.
RESULTS:
Wound closure in 19 days.
