PATIENT:
55 year old Caucasian female.
DIAGNOSIS:
Ulceration, right 5th toe with secondary chemical burn.
MEDICAL HISTORY:
Non-diabetic, non-compromised patient self-treated
with chemically impregnated cord pads. Area
presented with localized inflammation and discharge
from beneath the hyperkeratotic tissue.
TREATMENT:
Sharp debridement of necrotic tissue revealed ulcer
penetrating to the joint capsule. Daily dressing
changes with AmeriGel® Wound Dressing.
RESULTS:
Ulcer considered healed in one week.
